July 1st, morning. The effects of a spontaneous cocktail hour with neighbors exacerbated by the realization of the work still necessary to get the house ready for the renters & ourselves on the road to Serene Lakes. Jeff started a load of wash & left for a run. I sluggishly stripped the bed, took the sheets to the garage, and stepped in a puddle of water. Only it wasn’t a puddle, it was a river, flowing from the obviously broken washing machine and under all the neatly staged, mostly cardboard moving boxes. With some quick maneuvering, the use of the Figone’s washer/dryer, a call to Home Depot (& several Advil), we were able to hit the road just in time for dinner at Taco Tree in Auburn before dark. End of spin cycle.
Hi Cathy, Jeff and Mick! I think you have now left for London? I want to hear what’s going on!!
